Hi, I just purchased a Home Theater System (RCA RTD317) and i have it connected to my TV via HDMI, now my tv is a Toshiba 32VA502R, and i want the devices plugged into it (xbox 360, satalite receiver and bluray player) to have their audio put out on the home theater, but the home theater only has a component video out, 1 audio in and hdmi on it, now i have the audio out on my tv connected with the audio in on the home theatre and the only sound i get out of my home theatre is when i play a dvd on the dvd player that is in the theater system itself, does anyone know how i could get this to work or maybe know how i could (if i need to buy anything new)? thanks

    Couple things to consider:

Did you configure the tv to output to the home theater system? Under some sound menu option.

Is there a different setting for using the audio via the input connection on the home theater system?
