Ok, lets see, I already built my quad core 6gb HTPC, and I came across this server, and I cant decide on what to do with it. It's not the fastest, just a pentium 4, 512mb, and an 80gb, and 2 120gb hard drives. I want to wire it up and stick it in the basement, but cant think of what to do with it.. Music server? backup video server (yea, 240gb? lol) any suggestions? Im looking for a fun cool project to do something with it entertainment-wise but got no ideas. BTW, its a 4RU rack server, and very sturdy heavy case!
Any room for more drives? It might make a good media server if you can add some big drives. ...Or maybe seti@home? ...Or maybe a webserver? ...Or if you have a PS3, you might use it as a media server...but getting it's files from your HTPC.
