Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

no sound through tv

#1 26 Jul 2009 @ 14:29
i recently switched my tv to a bigger one, i had my pc running through my old tv and had no problems with sound but since the switch i cannot get sound on my tv its ok with my virgin media and normal tv but i cant get the sound from the computer through the tv.

I have the audio running from the comp through seperate speakers then a normal audio lead from the speakers to the tv that way worked well with my older tv but it doesnt seem to work now!!

any help would be much appreciated

Do you have the output from your sound card on your PC connecting to the input ( audio) of your tv?

yep its a built in sound card though! and mute is not on no.

now wen i have music playin i have a standard 3.5 audio cable going to my speakers and that works just not when i connect the same cable to my tv!!

what I meant was the tv sound works normally and isn't muted and if it does work normally and the sound output ( from PC) is being plugged into the sound input of the TV then it is either the tv plugin is screwy or something that you need to adjust on the TV itself
