I have a Blue Ray disc player that has a wired network connector that allows us to watch movies on Netflix and Blockbuster in 1080i through a HDMI cable. I recently discovered HULU and tried to watch it on a PC wired to the TV through a VGA cable but the picture is pretty jerky. Other than that, it's a pretty decent picture but without remote capability. I thought I'd see if there's anything available that allows streaming from the net like the BR player but isn't limited to a few sites like Netflix and Blockbuster. I assume the jerky picture from the PC was because of the video card because it doesn't do it on the PC monitor. Is there such a device or am I limited to a HTPC and if so is the Dell Studio Hybrid Desktop PC and Zotac (MAGHD-ND01-U MAG) MiniPC my only choices right now? Thanks

I went to the shops yesterday.. they had all kinds of stuff to buy.. seems like fun for people who have money.

anyhow.. streaming hd straight off the net is a pretty much no go.. insufficient bandwidth (and people like me who get nasty when the TVOD assholes all start up at 6pm.. so I lag them to death as well with p2p uploads)

seems like your tv hdmi input isn't configured right somewhere.. probably trying to "verify the digital signature" or some such drm shite.. if it don't play bad on the pc monitor why do you think it jerks and stutters on the tv?.. they both use THE SAME graphics card.. why blame that as it's obviously working fine for the pc.. do you have the same resolution settings ??... so the output should be exactly the same

When I tried it on a PC, it was a different PC that had the decent picture due to the hassle of moving my main PC. I'd consider just replacing the video card but it's a Shuttle (the PC I tried it on) and the V card is built in on the MB. Besides, it doesn't have remote capabilities thus I was thinking there may be a HTPC or something that would do what I want. I appreciate your reply.
