    Hello,
I have a vintage Hitachi HTA 4000 receiver that I bought new a million years ago before going off to college ('80). I have been using this receiver in my shop with the same pair of Micro Acoustics speakers (re-coned) that I bought the same year. It is/was a simple, great sounding, budget system that cranked out many great tunes and memories through the years.

The other day, I went out to the shop, clicked on the power button only hear hear a "pop" and the receiver was dead. No lights no nothing.

I know it's hard to diagnose from a written description but was wondering if my description indicates an obvious problem (other then being dead) and if there are any easy fixes??

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    JB

it may be as simple as a blown fuse in the receiver if not junk it the cost for a repair can be more than the price of a new receiver
