hi guys i had 2 onkyo 5.1 channel recievers die under warrently.i will pot a pic of the wiring and wanted to know if it looks bad, good or acceptable to you guys.
You should tin the end of the speaker wires with solder where they go into the connectors so you get a better connection.
the trouble with that is any strands not entered could possibly cause damage if they touched, did the caps go inside the amp which is well known, are the speaker ratings correct for the amp?
it shorted out and it was overheating.the amp still powered on when i took it back and i got a full refund.gonna save a bit more and go for a decent yamaha amp. the speakers rated power is 50-150 watts.using 14 gauge wire for the speakers.
the speaker cable i used at the time was monster z1 series so i knew it was the best at the time and it does look like car jumper cables.
actually wanna get a yamaha this is the model i want .the price is high for that model but if it comes down in price should be affordable.if not will save for longer.it has binding post to hide the wiring aswell so no wires will be sticking out.
