First of all sorry if this is the wrong section.

I have an old stereo that I don't use anymore. It has two speakers which sound fairly decent and I'd like to use them for my home theater setup. I have been doing a lot of research over the past couple days and couldn't really a strait answer. Is it possible to convert stereo wire to either RCA (red/white male) or a 3.5 mm jack (male)? Either one is fine for me.

sure it is possible, but more importantly is what are you trying to connect? usually something that is connected with either a RCA plug or 3.5mm plug is a line level device, not a speaker level device. so why do you need a cable from bare wire to RCA plugs?

I have two old speakers that I would like to connect to my TV. They are just speaker wire while my TV has RCA and 3.5 mm out.
