Avi / Xvid playback on TV

Hello i have a Techwood 22884 HD DVD Digital TV. This tv has a USB port and when i first got it i use to be able to play .avi files back off my USB stick onto my tv no problems what so ever however when i tried this the other day i would play the sound however they was no picture just a blank black screen?
I have looked in the booklet at the supported Files formats for USB mode and for avi it is as followed:

Is it only AVI files that have the problem.
Is it one particular AVI file that shows the problem, or all of them.
Do you have an AVI file that was previously OK, to try on the flash drive.
