Green pixelated horizontal lines on Dynex 55" LCD TV

This doesn't happen very often, but once in a while a bunch of thin, pixelated green shimmering horizontal lines appear on our TV screen. It's only been at least two months since we got it, and it's happened at least five times. All we have to do is turn the tv off and it goes away, but I'd like a solution that sees the problem go away for a long time. Could it be a cheap cable? (this one is also by Dynex) Or could it be a bad connector?
