Hi guys i am not too advanced on technology so i wanted some advice. I want to hook up my computer to my 32" samsung lcd, but i also want it to be hooked up to my computer monitor at the same time. I have a Nvidia Gforce video card which has 3 connections on it. It has a VGA, DVI, and svideo.

My question is whats the best way for me to hook up my pc to my tv? Should i get a DVI to HDMI cable? I also want it to carry sound so i can use my tv speakers and not the computer speakers. I want the best possible video quality too. But i heard the TV can suck too much energy from my video card and can cause it to overheat? So i want to make sure i do it safely.

Also, will this effect the quality of my computer monitor? I mean if they are hooked up at the same time?

    Thank You

I used a dvi to hdmi cable and my computer seems to handle it well as far as the sound i havent been able to figure it out, for the video card make sure your card can support the resolution for your tv. for instance for my 42 in plasma my video card can support 1900 X 1080p
