    So,

I have a Hitachi 55VS69A and I just found out that I need a new light engine from the repair guy that wants to charge me $800. So I found one that is obviously way cheaper than that. If I get it, I would have no problem installing it, as I have the service manual. Is there some kind of calibration I would have to do after the installation? Is there any way that I can do this without having to pay some guy $250 for an hour of work?

If you have the service manual, it should tell you if there is any calibration or adjustment required after install.
