    Hi all,
Can anybody advise? How reliable LED TV's? They advertise a power saving and are super slim, but how good are they? Price wise, they're much more expensive than LCD, are they worth the extra cash?
Finally, which manufacturer would you recommend?

    Thanks John

I have the samsung 55" LED and all I got to say Is I love it better than my LCD or any plasma I've had.Anybody that comes to my house is amazed at the picture,Bluerays are excellent,so are video Games. The only prob I've had is, I watched My Bloody Valentine and could tell it was really fake.It actually looked to real.I've had mine sence June.

I do home theater installation for future shop, and stare at nice tvs all day. the energy consumption difference from an ledtv to a standard lcd tv is not very big, you wont notice a difference in your electric bill put it that way. until true led technology doesnt cost an arm and a leg, there is no way you can justify the price difference from led to fluorescent back-lighting. you're still paying for the fact that it's fairly new, the gimmick isn't worth the extra 1000$+ in price.

Thanks. My problem at the moment is my Samsung LCD packed up. I have audio but no video. I feel that a TV should last longer than 2 and a half years. I will not be buying anything from Samsung again.

Your right about the cost. Additionally the sound from any of the LEDS that I viewed was very poor. Must check out Sony.

If your forking out that kind of money for a TV,I would get a nice Surround Sound.I haven't had any problems with my Samsung products,Like I said before I have the the TV and to go with that a 7.1 surround sound both Samsung. And you are right tho, The regular speaker sound sucks and from all the reviews I read before I bought it all the Led's do.

    Thanks Yzrider22.

Trying not let the wife find out what I'm up to. The money I'm planning to spend she can find an alternative for it's use.
