Using ps3 to get internet on sony xbr9

Hi, I'm trying to get internet on my Sony XBR9 and I was wondering if I could somehow use my playstation 3 to bridge the internet connection. I have a wireless router that connects to the ps3 and I was going to try to connect a LAN cable from the PS3 to the tv to get a signal. Has anybody had any success using this method or does anybody have any suggestions for getting internet to a tv?

If not I will probably just directly connect the tv via ethernet cable since the tv isn't too far from my router.
