dbox 500 selects no after flash but still erases

when trying to reflash my dbox 500 useing null cable fix, i selected no when asked to erase flash but at the end of the opperation. the dream up erases flash any way, then says flashing from memory. plus calculating crc23 on stb. in a previous post it was suggested the box had not enough ram but i never saw a way round this to resolve the problem if this has been covered in the past i apoligise any help would be appreciated

after flashing it states all the messages i said in my post also flashing succesful but when i connect to my tv only fta i was under the impression it was important for the flash not to be erased but dreamup does it anyway

 

Have you got the nov 2008 rom fix installed
If not it wont clear other than free to air
Have you selected a working cam

 

hi bigdunc .the dbox is my workmates who had trouble getting it to work foolishly i said ill try it i thought it was the same as mine a euro box, fond out not the same a lot different .i do not know what the nov rom is or a working cam sorry about this any guidance

 

paul is the nov fix the magic files or is the d2 image fully loaded

 

Just download the magic fies from mercs
And ftp the contents of the keys folder to the keys of the dream box

 

thats what i was not sure of after reading threads i thought i had to do something like that ill let you know how i get on

 

Copy contents of Keys folder to /var/keys
Copy contents of Scce folder to /var/scce
Go to Sky Sports 1
Hold INFO for more than 3 secs to bring up EMU manager, press OK.
Wait.......
