sorry mate no fix as yet,i would go for maybe a free to air satellite dish and reciever pointed at the sky satellite.lots of free channels there all 5 uk channels and e4,more4,film4 etc,keep you going for a while till a possible fix is found.im in cork and here you can get a new dish and reciever fitted for you for about €175 and no bills.if you go for this option you need to be aware that some satellite installers cut the existing chorus or ntl cable that is allready going in to your house and join the satellite cable to it(do not leave them do this,insist on a new satellite cable along side your existing cable)if your cable is cut you will loose all free channels like the 4 irish channels and if an n3 fix is found you will not be able to connect your box up to the chorus/ntl cable.
