    Hi,

I cannot log into my dbox2 to reflash with a new image. The password doesnt seem to be "dbox2" or "Dbox2" or anything similar. I've tried loads of variations suggestions. Is there a way to reset this without ftp'ing?

IP setting etc are fine (worked on another identical box). I've flashed the image on dboxes loads of times so i know how to do it. I'm pretty sure its a password problem. No idea what it could be.

    Please help

    Just Flash Via ifa
No need to know Id Pin or user..........Paul

    Hi,

There are 2 methods to find the pincode on a dbox2

either ftp into var/tuxbox/config and view neutrino.conf, look for parentallock_pincode=####

    the #### is the pincode.

If you want you can do it from the dbox
    Choose Tuxbox Commander
    var ok
    tuxbox ok
    config ok
    scroll down to neutrino.conf ok
then scroll down to the line, it is in alphabetical order.

Thanks but I'm looking for the root password to ftp to the box not the parentallock_pincode. I know the pin.

    Any other ideas?

Tell me wot image it is and ile tell you the
    User ,pass ,and ip

Open the image with new tuxflash tool
Go to Var/tuxbox/config, in there you will see nhttpd.conf
Look in there it will tell you the user and pass of the image ..Paul
