locked channels

    hi all,i have recently given my d/box to a friend he says he's put in the new keys but when he goe's to a channel it tells him it is locked,is he doing something wrong in the scanning department or has vxxxxxn mxxxa locked the channels,cheers.p.s he can get itv channels

    yes he lives in yorkshire doe's this mean he can't use the box or get a fix
