just bought new box. connected up to ntl signal, then done auto installation.looks like the box has downloaded lots of channels,but when i click on them, just get a blank screen. all channels that i cant view, have a dollar sign at the bottom, as if to say i need to pay to view them. if any one could give me an idiots description of what to do, it would be most appreciated. cheers mal.
Where abouts are you, Ireland or the uk? You`ll need to flash your box with the latest firmware before you can view any channels. Starview 4 - TheboxSuperUSB You will need version V1.07 for The uk & The latest Beta for Ireland. UK & Ireland Firmware are in the Starview Super Usb folder in eamos library in my sig. Instructions SV4 Super USB To load the files just drag them on to a USB memory stick and then put the memory stick in the USB port at the back of the receiver. Then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB at the bottom of the screen. Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the (Box Super USB Bin file) appear on the screen. Highlight "theboxsuperusb_v1.07 or the Beta firmware for Ireland with the remote and press the ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box. The firmware will now load onto the SV4. The box will Then Reboot. Wait at least 30 seconds before you touch anything on the remote or box. Menu > 1570 Set Default key > ok Turn keycode on Exit to channels It should now update for you.
