    Can anybody tell me why I can't sell a Eurovox on ebay as a free to air receiver.It has been removed 3 times and the last two times I put it up I advertised it as a FTA.I also put in the following warning

    PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
    THIS A NOTE TO POTENTIAL BUYERS .
    THIS BOX IS SOLD AS A FREE TO AIR RECEIVER AND HARD DRIVE RECORDER - NOTHING ELSE.ANY QUESTIONS THAT MAY BREAK EBAY RULES WILL NOT BE ANSWERED.

    But it was still removed.What's really annoying me is that there is other eurovox's up there that aren't been removed.

    This one has the same warning as my add but mine was removed and this wasn't;

    Why don't you ask eBay?

    they have flagged you for selling "illegal" items..

    complain about all the others.. chances are it's one of the "businesses" selling those that reported you.

    I finally got a response from ebay.It was Virgin Media who reported me.I dont see on what grounds they could have reported me as I was selling it as a FTA but there you go.What can you do when a big company like Virgin want's your item off.
    Here's the response;

    Hello XXXX,

    My name is Henry XXXX and I'm here to resolve your concern about the
    removal of your Eurovox cable box listing (item no. 150422467753).

    I appreciate that you understand our policy and you didn't intend to
    breach it. However, we had to remove your listing as Virgin Media
    reported it to us.

    It has been brought to our attention that these boxes are specifically designed to access paid channels for free, and many people are buying them for this illegal purposes, and sellers are using eBay as the medium to sell these boxes. Please understand that we have legal agreement with Virgin to remove items reported by them.

    Also, I do understand your concern at finding similar listings on the
    site and I'm sorry if you feel singled out. I assure you this isn't the
    case.

    I suggest you to contact Virgin Media and ask them to report this
    listing to us. Once we get their report, I can confirm that the listing will no longer be on the site.

    I trust this information was helpful and I wish you all the best for
    future trading on eBay.

    Kind regards,
