Hi. New to the forum but not to recording. I have a Sanyo VRDVD4005 stand-alone dvd recorder. when I record anything off of the Dishnet box, the picture and sound is beautiful but I can't call up any captioning.I've tried 2 different dvd players, when I select captioning/subtitles nothing happens. I've read the manual several times but can't figure it out. The discs I record show no menu options, just titles. When I put in a store bought pre-recorded disc, I can activate captioning just fine. Any ideas... great forum.
