I'm trying to backup a DVD so I can watch it on my Netbook. My DVD backup tools are telling me that I need over 64GB of disk space to backup a 8GB DVD. What type of copy protection is this and is there a way to work around it?

Ripit4me is what I used, Movie Only .
If You Look at your Log Each Title Is Over 1hr 40min
What Backup Tools Are You Talking about?
I Also did it with DFab 6, Doing What Creaky Said.

Good stuff. I should clarify that i've never used ripit4me personally, if DVDFab ever struggles with a current movie the authors always release an update soon enough
