OK I'm new here, I usually do a search 1st but the forum search "DVD Ripping" provided me that answer:
"Your search returned more than allowed result limit. You might consider limiting your query by changing the search criteria."

My subscription with w/ my current Ripper Softwareis about to end.
Which mean that I will no longer be able to update. I'm not renewing due to the fact that this software no matter what I've tried leaves two large black bars on top and bottom of the widescreen video (OK with a 4:3). Ripping options: Letterbox, Medium, Pan & Scan, Full (Keep Aspect Ratio)

Any of you peoples know of a software that doesnt include that with the rip. (See image below)

thx in advance

Buy the fullscreen version instead of the wide screen version, or

Buy a widescreen TV.

Check settings in the dvd player if it's any good you should be able to stretch to fit screen, better still use a computer as a media center then the media player will take care of it once you set it up,personally i stretch it but not too much otherwise it looks funny

There is no way around it with current dvd ripping software. If your original dvd is widescreen the rip is going to be widescreen.

My advice, use the free dvdfabdecryter to rip the dvd. Next you will need to use convertx2dvd (not free but the only program that I know of that can turn a widescreen dvd to a fullscreen dvd). On converts2dvd you will have to choose the 4:3 setting and also under video processing/video resize method/stretch - video resize to fit tv screen. I use this combination everytime and get perfect fullscreen dvd's. You won't loose too much quality in the conversion.

thx guys you pretty much answered my question.
This ripper aint available, so I'll have to relate to a cropping tool to do that job after my DVD is ripped. and it aint for my TV, its for my External HDD.

(IE: a 720x480 frame will become a 720x303)
