    Hi,

I have a Pioneer Bluray Rom Drive BDC-202BK. It has a SATA connection to my motherboard.
It still reads Bluray disks but has stopped reading DVD / CD in either video, audio or data.

I wonder if something has failed in the drive or if I made some change to affect it like maybe windows updates.
The only one I can think of that might be relevant is windows update telling me there was an optional update for Nvidia memory controller. Maybe I'm way off with that idea, I don't know. I have no recollection of it happening after a certain event or change.
I do have another DVD RW drive, a Liteon which is connected via IDE cable and that works fine.

    Specs: -
    Windows 7 Ultimate
    ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard (N-force 650i and 430i Chipsets)
    C2Duo E8400 @ 3.00ghz
    4 gig OCZ RAM
    Nvidia 8800GT 512MB GFX card
