Need to pick up some new intake and exhaust fans for my case(Mozart TX). Looking for good air flow but something quite at the same time. I picked up 2 Scythe fan a few years back and found it moved a ton of air but was extremely quiet. I could only hear it if I put my ear right next to it. It was a 21E and 21F. Sadly they dont make these models anymore so I figured I would see what brands/models you guys like for this situation?

If he doesn't notice this, sammoris is a good guy to speak to.

Back when I used to frequent here daily, Sam(and KillerBug) were both great guys to speak to on *anything.* I actually pmed them on the matter awhile back but sometimes thing's don't work out and now I have no choice to pick up some new fans...then again I can afford to pick up new fans now. :p

Sam actually has a couple of fans listed over on his spec page, e.g

    Scythe SFF21F 120mm 1600rpm

I have a couple of these and they're not bad
    http://www.ebuyer.com/138586-xilenc...ence120?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products

which are also stocked on the quietpc website.

Specs listed say that the Xilence is:
Noise level at full speed (12V), dB(A) 21.2

    Whereas Scythe 21F is:
Noise level at full speed (12V), dB(A) 28.0

So take from that what you will!

Edit: I didn't even notice that Sam's listed fan is the discontinued fan you're talking about in your OP - my bad.

They're not expensive, might be worth ordering a Xilence and seeing how you find it then.

For comparison, a more recent Scythe fan (updated 21f perhaps) would be

Noise level supposedly 24db for the 1200rpm version.
