I have an ADSL modem that has one RJ11 (input) and 4 RJ45 outputs labeled LAN1~LAN4. If i use the other ports will then need to also enter the User name and pword for my ISP connection. Or will the LAN1 connect the modem too the ISP and then they others will auto connect. PS. I currently have a wireless router plugged into the LAN1 but i want to move the router to the 3 floor with a CAT5 cable and i don't want to resend a CAT5 back down to the PC that the modem sits beside on the 1st floor. I would prefer if the WIFI Router would maintain the login and the 1st floor PC would not have to "login" every time i want to use the net down here.

go from modem\router's outputs to computers & wireless router's input. my setup is somewhat similar as i have a cable modem in the basement that connects to a wired router right beside the modem. from that router's output jacks are 2 lines, 1 to the 1st floor computer & the 2nd line to the 2nd floor computer room that connects to a wireless router. from that wireless router is 2 lines, 1 to my desktop computer & 2nd to a computer that i'm servicing plus wireless for a customer's laptop or tower. don't have to do sign in.
