My asus g74sx laptop is making this annoying clicking noise. I think its a bad sector click, I dont think its software, I think its physical damage. My question is are there any programs that can rewrite my hard drive, so it stops clicking? Or am I just out of luck?

Did you damage your laptop - drop it or similar? You can format your hard drive and re-install Windows, sure, but if the drive is damaged then it won't help.

Hard drive bad sectors couldn't be repaired but formatting the system may stop the noises. You've to format it right way to prevent more damages to the system.

Agree with ddp, get the new hard drive and transfer all your precious stuffs onto it to avoid data loss condition.

    Good Luck!!
