My laptop has been making this strange clicking sound for a couple of months. Ive had geek squad look at it, and they have said that my hard drive looks fine. It sounds like a bad sector click, ive defraged the hard drive, and it didnt work. Could it be bad sector or could it be something else? Side note, my laptop fell off my bad while i was sleeping, are there any diagnostic tools, that will tell me if how things are looking?
doesnt sound good.have you tried running a chkdsk/f?if that doesnt do it the geeks might be wrong.trust me its not coincidental that this started after falling off your bed.what symptoms is it exibiting?
