I have a belkin N1 vision router and it is great.A friend of mine borrowed it as his son needs a router with a decent signal that will work as far as the loft(2 floors up).Although my belkin is 2 years old could someone recommend the type of Belkin that has replaced this router,so we know what model number to buy.We want the same capabilities as the N1 vison router(it is for cable/DSL.)
Theres so many different types we dont know which one to buy.
Help appreciated.

Routers are a minefield of disappointment and annoyance. If you've found one that works well for you, I would absolutely recommend buying an identical replacement.

Linksys WRT54GL with dd-wrt firmware is a must have imo. It takes the Linksys router and turns it in to a highly customizable router that should cost far more then it does.
