Belkin Router Problems - HELP!

Ok. HELP!

My I have a belkin Model F5D8633-4. I used to have a talk talk router but I decided to change.

When I got the belkin I needed to set it up by typing in 192.168.2.1. After messing around I got internet.

After that I decided on a bit of security so I did a another bit of messing around and now I can't connect......

The lights that are lit up on the router is: the security one, wired and modem router. Where as before the wired, modem router, adsl and internet were all lit and the rest were not.

I get limted or no conectivity when connected to computer and when I try to go back and re-do what I did I get page cannot be displayed.

I cant view my routers settings by typing in 192.168.2.1. I reckon its because of limted or no conectivity.

Anywayz I've tried restoring factory settings. Doesn't work, stays the way it is.

Hope to hear anyones Ideas in helping this situation. Thanks

you should be able to do a hard reset back to factory defaults. This will reset the ip address back to its original. Most of time it is 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. If you still cant find the ip address you can try scanning for it. I like to use angry ip scanner to find all the ip addresses connected to the network. This will work if you are connected to the local network, if you are not even connected to the router then you will not be able to scan for it.

Thanks.

It sorta helped.

I've managed to delete all data from the router and access it again.

I have a new problem :)

I need a firmware update before I can use it again.

I can't find zed firmware update.

Anyone else know where to locate. Can't find it on belkin site.

I am not having much luck finding the firmware on belkins website either. What is the problem that you are having now?

What is "zed" firmware?

Why do you need it to boot your router?

According to belkin that model doesn't actually exist, or they don't have a firmware.. they list it as a 3-4 and the firmware link from that is for the 82 whatever.. not same number..

but I'm a genius hehehe..
