So I gave my roommate one of my jobs repairing a laptops . He removed the 2.5 sata drive to backup data on his pc . While he was plugging in the power cable he snapped it . My question is if I got the same exact drive could I just swap the PCB which has the power connect . I called a data recovery place just to get a quote but they want 700-800 . thanks in advanced .
