Hi , I was wondering if it is possible to repair LCD screen on a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop ? I'm 100% sure the screen is the problem as I can hear the hd disk spin and I know the laptop is running . The screen shows nothing though . Thanks for any replies
If you have an external monitor port, plug a monitor into the laptop and see if you get a display. As far as repair the screen, probably not. Replace the screen, possibly if you have the service manual, tools and repair parts.
Why i do in fact repair these laptops i have broken a Many Back light And LCD if your new to repairing a laptop. buy the replacement part your self and have a technicians install it for you. trust be the 50 dollar install fee is well worth it. Some will charge you an arm and a headache i run an independent business so i can afford to say ill look at it and clean it up for 20 bucks.
