    hey, ok these are the error messages in event viewer windows 7 64 bit

    CTLCN BrtCTLCN: [2010/10/14 18:29:33.297]: [00003360]: brccMCtl.exe: ControlCenter3.cpp (0303) : -------- DeviceName is Empty().

    Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0

    The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

    The previous system shutdown at 6:27:29 PM on 10/14/2010 was unexpected.

    i was having this problem with a nvdia graphics card before and it was also doing it on xp 32 bit(i dual boot). so after much goofing around and trying to figure it out i decided id try a new graphics card i did a radeon HD 5570. now however when in xp the mouse and keyboard remain frozen and windows 7 gives those 4 error messages at random and the computer reboots without even giving a warning.

    ive been searching google but finding little luck. any help would be appreciated?

    i use HDMI if that matters and i cant get the sound to work on this new graphics card through the HDMI cord but i could with the old one if that matters. but not sure i may be doing it wrong

    It sounds like you forgot to uninstall the nvidia drivers first.
