I have a compaq small form fator pc. It's either dc7700 or dc7700p, can't quite remember but anyway the motherboard model is:
    HP 0a54h chipset intel q965

I currently have a core 2 duo e6300 but I'm thinking about changing it to something better. So I was wondering what other cpus the motherboard supports. Was thinking about maybe c2d e6600. Would that work?
And do I have to update bios or something like that or is it just to simply change the cpu and then start the computer?

I have windows xp professional (probably 32 bit) if it matters..
