I'm asking this question on behalf of my friend because I don't have much experience with bluetooth devices.

He has a Dell Bluetooth keyboard (I don't know the model right now). It was working just fine for quite awhile. Just this morning when he turned on his computer the keyboard wouldn't work. His computer booted to the windows log in screen, but he couldn't type anything. The indicator light that was usually blue is now a solid purple. He tried resyncing the receiver and keyboard...no luck. The light is still purple. He then took a second keyboard, same model as the first, and synced it to the receiver. It worked just find for awhile then the light started flashing and the keyboard would only work once in awhile. He did a system restore to last monday. The second keyboard works just fine now, but the first one still sits there with a purple light.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?
