Dell D610 Laptop

    I have a dell D610 laptop
    it is powering up only that the power light flashs a couple of times and then powers off
    any body any sujestions

    check that the external power adapter is supplying voltage to the laptop. will need a voltage meter for that & should read about 19v.

    I have done that and every thing checks out

    Have you tried replacing the battery pack??

    yes, but hear is the thing surely the Laptop should work with power alone, It was doneing this a while back and after a few times it would power up, but now it just keeps trying but it is like something is not checking out during power up test and it shuts down

    You may need to get your motherboard checked out??0
