dell latitude 131l

    hi all i have a dell latitude 131l laptop i formated it and started to install drives etc i set a few off to start installing after a few moments the laptop froze and done nothing at all i had to remve the battery for it to shutdown

    I tried to turn laptop back on it turns on ok but get no screen display what could be up with it i know the screen aint cracked as it was working before hand

    does the hd light flash as tho windows is loading?

    Did you delete the Diagnostics partition when you reformatted the HDD? If you did not, we can put it through these tests and let me know the error codes, we'll get it fixed right away.

    If you did delete the patition, do you by chance have another monitor? If so, attach an external monitor to your laptop and power up. Do you have video? If so, it is your LCD. No Video, possibly your Video card, which for this model I believe is integrated. You will need another Motherboard.

    Go ahead and take care of this and reply back with the results.
