Hello all, im just wondering if anybody is farmilliar with the dell studios and maybe be able to tell me what setting in the BIOS could be on or off the will prevent me from installing a windows OS? like the linux that i use will boot and install aswell as many other flavors i've tryed but it seems to be hateing on the microsoft OS's , the dell is the intell version designed for vista, so if anyone has any ideas or needs more info on the laptop let me know and thanks in advance :)

    P.S.
When the xp install copys the files needed and goes for the restart thats where it hangs and just sits there telling me it's restarting but it wont, and i did it manualy with the power button and it will boot what it has on the hdd but thats all just says it will take the usual 35 min to complete but i left it go 12 hours and i know thats way way over the normal time lol ,

I can't quite understand your question, but I'd suggest wiping the HDD and installing windows first, and then and linux distro's. Their bootloaders are good about windows being installed first.
