I just got a 1 terabyte hdd and i want to add (will have dual boot hdd's) it to my pc. I have onboard nforce sata w/ 1 hdd and 1 dvd drive connected. I didnt think about needing a cable or even if my pc can connect more than 2 devices. Anybody have a similar setup with advice before i open it up?...
Edit: I opened it up. Only saw 2 sata connections. One to dvd drive and one to hdd. Will i need to buy a sata card?

Awesome. Thanks! Im ashamed to say...the pc is a compaq. It was mega cheap with a 22 monitor a few years ago. The MB specs are this:
    Motherboard
    Manufacturer: ECS
    Motherboard Name: MCP61PM-HM
    HP/Compaq motherboard name: Iris8-GL6

ddp will i need any kind of special cable or adapter? Looks like the cables/connectors are built into the power supply harness on this one...

see in any of your drives will take 1 as have ssen some drives have both types of power connectors on them. if drives don't then can get an adapter that goes from molex to sata. can get kits that have both that adapter & sata data cable. check with any of your frinds to see if they are not using their adapter & sata cable.
