ethernet drivers for emachine

hi im on suicidle watch here trying to find downlods for my e machine ez1606 i put windows vista on and now cant get internet on comp keeps saying no ethernet connectedand windows canot find any network im at this a week now and getting nowhere all help would be greatly accepted before i loos my mind thanks in advance

 

You may be having trouble because I cant find any mention of an EZ1606 on emachines website.
there is a EZ1601, it has a support page here
and the only drivers i see for it are windows XP.
Which Vista? Theres like 5 different kinds...
Either way, Vista probably doesnt like the XP driver, instead of looking at emachines website for driver go to the hardware manufacturers website to find a Vista driver. A quick GOOGLE for your network driver finds this http://www.chipdrivers.com/chipset/network-adapter/realtek/rtl8111dl/allos/

 

That unit uses a realtek RTL8111 chip...you can get drives from realtek.com.tw

 

thanks for the help but everytime i try download it on to a memory stick it doesnt accept the driver when i transfer it to the comp
