I've had a Maxtor 250GB (more or less) external hard drive since 2005.

Around 2007 i thought it had died, because when i plug it in to my pc the autoload screen comes up and scans each file in the drive very slowly. But once its done scanning, i cant see any files at all.

But here's the weird thing, if i hook the external hard drive to my xbox360, i can view all my pictures and videos with no problems at all.
Yes i have plugged the hdd to a different computer aswel(laptop)
and still the same thing, is there anything i can do to make this external HDD be viewable the way it is on my xbox360?

Note i do have spinrite 6.0

~Thanks for any and all help

Turn of autoplay for the drive.
