hi there....i need a little help here,
i alreday googled for a while but did not get it fixed

is a emachine T2460 the power supply was burned and got a used one but as soon as i plugged the power cord in the back fans start running and just keeps like that running and running , nothing on screen, power button doesnt do nothing ,cd and dvd drives are on they open and close and hard drive led is orange.
i already push and hold the power button but does not turn fans off.
    is this weird or normal.

any domed or leaking can shaped capacitors on motherboard? remove all power & data cables to drives. clear the cmos as have found that to work sometimes to kickstart a stubborn system. onboard video or a videocard? no beeps from speakers? remove all cards & ram except for videocard & 1 stick of ram, reseat those 2.

if another psu without any of the drives connected still not work then you need a new motherboard.

Not often i see DDP posting :p

Those Emachines T2460's are just trouble unfortunatly. DDP is right, Motherboard is definetly at fault. From what i remember of experience with these particular machines is the south bridge not allowing it to POST (power on self test)...

    Sorry :(

no problem. if can afford it then also get more ram say upto a gig as you will see a noticeable improvement.
