    hi, new member here..

    i had to format the comp cause hard drive error.

    anyway ive lost all the drivers for sound/video card etc..

    just wondering if there is a way to detect what particular hardware is inside without opening the tower.

    running windows xp SP1..

    You can get the model number of the motherboard as the PC reboots or you can retrieve it using the likes of System Information for Windows.
    Google the number + drivers or go to the manufacturer site and look for drivers.

    cpu-z (google it) will tell you your motherboard
