Was looking around Craigslist and saw this ad regarding "free internet" http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/1691707879.html Is this legit? I'm sure it's illegal, but would it work? Any1 have experience with these types of setups? They say all I need is basic cable, which I guess they use that line and give me the modem to get the interwebs. I'd appreciate some feedback.
"I'm sure it's illegal, but would it work?" It might work...until this guy gets caught...then your modem gets turned off, and you hope that no charges get filed against you. If you want free internet, build a double biquad, put it in front of a parabolic dish, and point it at the nearest wifi hotspot.
