Hello, i have been having overheating problems with my gpu so i decided to increse the fan speed. i downlaoded rivatuner and tried that, i would set it to 80% but after a few seconds it will go back down below 30%. I deleted that and downlaoded ntune and it does the same thing.
anyoen know how i can fix this? my gpu is Geforce 9800 GT

It's possible that the trouble has nothing to do with the fan speed and overheating. Or it may have a setting somewhere you aren't looking that auto-sets it based on current temp....

Try using Speedfan, its free. I use it to control my temps, keep the pc nice and quiet while checking out afterdawn, and crank the fans when playing games or encoding video etc. hope this helps.
