GPU Temp is 73 degrees. Please Help

    My core temp is at 73 degrees Celsius. My Video card is getting really hot. The fan is running on it though. Any ideas?

    what video card do you have? some video cards operate quite happily at over 100 celcius.
    If that was your cpu temp, then you would have something to worry about.

    it is a GeForce 8600. Everytime i try and play MLB 2k10 the fans start going really fast and it quits

    What driver are you using? On of Nvidia's more recent drivers have been known to make GPU fans stop working correctly.

    You could replace the stock gpu paste with some artic silver 5.
