Hard Disk Failure

    if have or can borrow another drive to load windows on to see what happens. try reseating the data connector & try plugging data cable into different socket on motherboard like sata 1 instead of sata 0.

    try going into the bios and set hard disk for first boot device.it looks like you have the cd rom for first boot device but either didnt have a disk inserted or computer didnt recognize the disk.

    name brand or custom built computer?

    try connecting the hard drive to a different sata port on the motherboard. switch sata cables with the optical drive if it is sata.

    not an uncommon occurrence.glad you got it worked out.

    had that happen with some customers but some lost either all their info, some of their info or no info lost. happened on both desktops & laptops\netbooks.
