    Hi all,

I recently bought an Acer Aspire 6935G from www.saveonlaptops.co.uk. Yesterday I upgraded the graphics driver (Geforce 9600M GT) with a driver from Nvidia, everything works great but now I cant get any sound to play from the laptop. Does anyone know what I could do?

    Thanks.

The new driver might have made the default sound adapter HDMI sound, rather than its normal sound card. Go to sound in your control panel and make sure the right audio device is selected as default in the list.

I do remember it asking about an nvidia sound driver but I figured that was an update to the software. should I remove that driver? It's now showing up as nVidia HDMI port as the default like you thought.

may not be labelled HDMI audio (that's how ATI label it) but an nvidia audio driver is likely to be the audio driver for HDMI I would have thought. You shouldn't need to remove it, just change which driver is default in the control panel.
