Help Resizing hdd partitions

    Hi all,

    I have a problem what i did was i backed up my old 160gb harddrive's partitions over to a new 500gb hdd now the problem is that i have ubuntu 9.10 and windows vista dual booting and i am trying to give windows and ubuntu more room but i cant seem to do it does anyone have any idea on how i can do this?

    Another program that can work for you is GParted. Open source as well so it can be used on both Windows and Linux.

    tried Gparted not working for me :( will try the other one

    GParted is great, just make sure you're using a version that won't cause corruption ~ http://forums.ebuyer.com/showthread.php?p=962662

    edit- and re-reading that link i just posted reminded me that my olde worlde version of Partition Magic still works a treat on modern systems/modern hard drives
