CAN ANYONE HELP ME.. im trying to install new blu ray burner...i need to install the firmware im sure so it will find the blank media....i dont know where to install the firmware to...when i open exe file from the pioneer website for my burner ...i double click it and it says TARGET NOT FOUND...where do i install the firmware...THANKS pioneer bdr-202bk all the cables are good...it reads dvds fine and blu rays fine just it wont read BLANK bd-r's.... What can I do ????
No, we cannot help with what info you have provided. Firmware? Why? Unless of course you're talking about DRIVERS. Can you provide a link for the .exe you're using? If it reads DVDs and Blu-ray disks fine, then it sounds like there is no problem.
LOL ok I purchased a blu ray player from ebay...it came with no cd to install it...i installed it and everything works fine...it doesnt read BLANK media or BD-R media....so im sure it needs a firmware update to get it to work...I know the driver is ok because I am able to watch movies with it just not burn with it... The model is a BDR-202bk the website I got the firmware from is :http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/BusinessProducts/Blu-rayDisc+DVDWriters/Blu-rayDiscWriters/ci.BDR-202.Support?tab=B SO ::: when i unzip the file and dbl click the exe file it opens a command box and another pop up says: "TARGET NOT FOUND" im sure I need to save this .exe file somewhere...IM NOT SURE WHERE???
just to be clear... I am assuming I need a firmware update when my BLU RAY burner will no read or recongize blank bd-r media...Im pretty sure that is what I need to do.... I mentioned in my first post that I can burn regular dvds and watch blu rays but it wont find BLANK MEDIA for bd-r
