help with RS232 low profile pci card

    Hi all just wondering would any of you know would a low profile card word with high profile cause the card will not screww in if you know what mean my motherboard is a p5lp-le the operating system is vista 32 bit spec of the card is :

    the card will work but will have a problem with it's bracket as it is to short in height.

    Many times you can make a new full-height/normal profile bracket out of an old slot cover. This can be attached to the card by the screw-standoff-things on the sides of the serial port. Just be carefull cutting...it is much easier to cut more off later than to try to add more when you have already cut too much.

    Hey guys cheers for getting back to me. Thanks a lot I went ahead and install the pci card it works but was creatively fitted lol.

    no problem. had to do that with a full size bracket dialup modem into a thin ibm desktop. hacksaw, vise & a file plus a screwdriver.

    I've had to do it when I didn't look closely when ordering a GFX card for a customer...no full-height bracket...time for the dremel!
